So, Anole has gotten something like 1200 comments in three weeks.

To celebrate, have a Relationship meme!

This is for Anole and Kanji and I guess if you want, Maya but she is backburner-y and doesn't get out much.

Maya is...kind of complicated. Normally, someone like Yuri would disgust her -- she doesn't really give people that aren't up to her level the time of day (her reaction to meeting the game's heroine is: "I'll remember [your name] for the time being. But listen...Once I turn my head, you better be right behind me. Or else, I'll forget real quick."), but she can sort of tell, just from experience, that Yuri is pretty skilled and doesn't understand why he wouldn't be proud of the fact that he's so much better than other people. So expect her to pester you trying to figure it out, Yuri.

She may even test you like she does Virginia, in canon. Which is to say, she will try to smack you and if you can block it then you're okay.

Anole is actually also complicated but for entirely more screwed up reasons! On one hand, he just likes Dean in general, having a snarky friend to make morbid jokes with.

BUT...

...first, in canon, Vic is messed up. He swings from "all we're good for in the X-Men is to die/we're nothing but canon fodder/there shouldn't be a Young X-Men team" to, three or four pages later, upon being given a new mission, "What the hell. Who wants to live forever, anyway?" So he's kind of the same way with Dean. On the one hand, he's sort of grateful that Dean thinks that he shouldn't fight the various zombies and demon trees and monsters and so on that inhabit Camp and should instead be a teenager.

On the other hand, though, it's sort of "who the hell do you think you are?" because as much as Victor wants to be and wishes he had the chance to be a normal teen, he knows that's not really an option after the things he's been through.

It is sort of "a chance to be normal" warring with "fought the devil in hell and watched half of my schoolmates be blown up by anti-mutant supremacists."

Yuri would look forward to the challenge. And still defend his not-so-great status. As for Dean... he needs to do things that way. It keeps him fighting.
