This is going to sound pretty horrible, but gay people absolutely fascinate Jennifer for a wide variety of reasons (most of which have to do with her own unresolved sexuality issues), so she's pretty invested in getting to know Anole a bit better. Yeah, it's not even the green/lizard thing that trips her up, it's the "liking boys" thing.
'Cause Jennifer's whole metaphor of carnage is basically about payback and treating men like objects the same way she's been treated her whole life, she doesn't know where to mentally sort Anole. ...Which means she's just treating him like a girl with a penis. And since she's been kind of rocky with Needy lately, he's quickly filling up the kinda-sorta-unoccupied "someone I can talk to about stupid shit" slot in her head.
Even beyond the tokenizing and confusion, though, she does like him as a person. She enjoys that she sort of tentatively has someone to vageuly bring up her ~issues~ with, in terms of having powers. She definitely would not eat him, which I guess counts for something.
